New SearchMonkey Enhanced Result Template

We've recently been testing a number of options for a new SearchMonkey Enhanced Results template. Today, we're officially transitioning to a new layout. While the basic components of the templates are the same, you'll notice that the deep links are now horizontally aligned under the title link and the image is now on the right-hand side. Why? Based on A/B testing, eye tracking and usability research, we've found that this format is more easily scanned by users and often results in higher clickthrough rates for app developers.
If you're a SearchMonkey developer or partner, rest assured that apps built using the previous template will transition to the new template automatically. And in the process of doing this research, we put together a one-page best practices document to help you design SearchMonkey apps that provide an optimal user experience (available here as well). As with anything we do, these changes to SearchMonkey are all about making searching better for everyone.
